IPL 2023-KKR VS RCB ,Match 9

 Kolkata Knight Riders won their second match in the TATA IPL 2023 after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 81 runs at the Eden Gardens. KKR recovered from 89/5 to post 204/7 thanks to Shardul Thakur's 68 off 29 balls, Rahmanullah Gurbaz's 57 off 44 balls and Rinku Singh's 46 off 33 balls

KKR's spinners, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, and debutant Suyash Sharma, then took control of the match and bowled out RCB for 123. Kohli and du Plessis gave RCB a good start, but Narine's introduction into the attack saw Kohli dismissed for 21(18), and Chakravarthy had Du Plessis out in the next over. RCB reached 50/2 at the end of the Powerplay, but KKR's spinners proved too much for them.

KKR dominated RCB, winning by 81 runs. RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl. KKR made one change, replacing Anukul Roy with Venkatesh Iyer, while RCB brought in David Willey for the injured Reece Topley.

The RCB bowlers had a mixed start, with Mohd. Siraj bowling two good outswingers in the first over, but also conceding five wides on a sprayed ball down the leg side. Rahmanullah Gurbaz took charge and hit Siraj for two fours in the over, giving KKR a good start with 9 runs. Willey, however, bowled a tight second over, conceding only three singles.

KKR continued to dominate as RCB suffered a batting collapse, losing wickets in quick succession. Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma picked up crucial wickets, with Sharma taking three wickets on debut and finishing with impressive figures of 3/30. Anuj Rawat, RCB's impact player, was sent in at No.8 but was dismissed by Sharma after scoring just one run. The RCB innings was wrapped up for a meagre total of 123 runs, with Chakravarthy taking the final wicket with a brilliant caught and bowled of Akash Deep.
